Exclusive Life Webinar: Towards circular economy on Mediterranean Islands
The circular economy promotes sustainable economic development. It is particularly based on the optimization of flows, the resources consumption (material and energy), reduction of nuisances’ production and the dynamics of cooperation on a territory.
This capacity building webinar will:
- Explain the definition of circular economy by giving examples of circularity of resources alone, then of resources and knowledge, and finally of territorial cooperation of actors (circularity of knowledge flows).Give economic elements in favor of this new approach (gains due to resources optimization of the value chain).
- Underline the steps to be taken for implementing a policy in favor of circularity (mobilization of public and private actors, modification of consumption habits, technological and social innovations …).
- Conclude with concrete examples adapted to the context of the islands in the Mediterranean.
